Oregon Kidnapping Suspect, Child, Picked up in Arcata by CHP

An Oregon man was picked up by Humboldt Area Highway Patrol on Saturday after he kidnapped his daughter and was allegedly on his way down the coast to Mexico. Officers learned of the amber alert involving Angelo Luis Muniz and his 1-and-a-half-year-old daughter Perfection Angeles.
They spotted Muniz’ car near Bracut Saturday afternoon and pulled it over in the Target parking lot.
Two females were inside the car- after investigating, officers learned that Muniz was hiding in Redwood Park in Arcata, they arrested him there and took Perfection into custody. She is back in Orgeon under the care of the state. Muniz will face charges for the kidnapping.
