ATTEMPTED MURDER: Peninsula Drive, Manila

An attempted murder overnight in Manila; Sheriff’s Deputies arrest 27 year old Travis Morgan in connection with the case. They say at 10:45 Thursday night they went to a home in the 1900 block of Peninsula Drive in Manila where an unnamed victim had been stabbed with a machete. He was rushed to a local hospital. Deputies talked to witnesses who told them Morgan was responsible. Morgan showed up to the hospital after the victim to be treated for minor injuries, he claimed self defense for the stabbing. After deputies talked to him he was booked for attempted murder, mayhem, and violation of probation. His bail is set at half a million dollars. Friday the victim has undergone surgery for his stab wounds. Photographs of the suspect Travis Morgan are not being released as detectives are actively working on this case; they are also looking for a second suspect.
