FRED STOCKETT TRIAL CONTINUED: Defense Indicates They Want Judge Disqualified

Trial has been continued for Fred Stockett, the Klamath man accused of three counts of lewd acts with a child.
His defense attorney today indicated in court his intention to disqualify Judge Follett who is presiding over the case in the Del Norte County Superior Court. The case was also continued at the request of the defense to October 2nd. In addition to the lewd acts charges Stockett also faces felony kidnapping for the purpose of rape charges.
Del Norte District Attorney Jon Alexander says Stockett faces a life sentence if he goes down for these charges.
