SHOTS FIRED IN BURGLARY ATTEMPT: South Loop Rd., Fortuna

Gunshots fired early this morning in a Fortuna neighborhood. Police say just before 6 Friday morning two men tried to break in to 4211 South Loop Road. They allegedly tried to force their way through the front door. When the victims heard the burglars trying to get inside one grabbed a shotgun and fired at the subjects through the window next to the door. The suspects ran and got into a dark Honda minivan- police were only able to get a partial license plate number; “6TL.” Police are asking if you have any information about the shots fired or the suspects to contact their “we-tip” hotline; 1-800-78-CRIME. Callers may be eligible for a case reward in your information leads to an arrest and conviction.
