NC3 UPDATE: H.C.S.O. INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE; Dead Body Found In Hoopa
UPDATE (3:44pm 9/28/12) - After finding a dead body in Hoopa yesterday, The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is now investigating Thursday's suspicious death as a homicide.
From the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office: The victim has been identified as Dorothy Ulrich, 47 years old. The manner of death is not being released at this time. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are actively following possible leads and processing evidence obtained at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled in Santa Rosa for Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Previous (9/27/12) On 09-27-2012, approximately 10:30 a.m., a California Highway Patrol Officer conducting a follow up investigation discovered a deceased female in a residence on Little Moon Lane, Hoopa. The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and Hoopa Tribal Police responded to and took custody of the scene. Sheriff’s detectives were notified and also responded to the residence. At 2:50 p.m. a search warrant was issued by the Humboldt County Superior Court and detectives entered the residence. Further news releases will be made as the investigation continues.
