Police are looking for a hit and run suspect who killed one woman, a dog, and injured two more. The three victims involved are members of the Six Rivers Running Club. This morning they were out doing a normal jog when a car hit them and kept going.
It was a foggy morning. One neighbor described the area as peaceful as usual.
"It's real quiet here.. Real, real quiet here. So it's weird I see a lot of people biking here an jogging here all the time."
He says he doesn’t know how someone could hit a group of women and continue driving.
It happened just before 6 AM. The women were running on the west shoulder of Myrtle Avenue. The car is a 2005, Kia Spectra.
That vehicle has been seized into evidence. The two injured women were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital to be treated for their injuries. They are Eureka residents: Jessica Hunt and Terri Vroman. The deceased woman’s name has not been released.
