GARAGE FIRE IN EUREKA; $25,000 IN ESTIMATED DAMAGE

EUREKA -- A fire breaks out Tuesday night, charring a garage in Eureka. Humboldt Bay Fire says 3 engines, 1 truck, and 2 chiefs responded to 801 F. Street to find heavy smoke coming from the garage.
Upon arrival, crews began to battle the blaze. The fire did not reach the associated house, and the residence was unoccupied.
They were able to control the blaze in about 30 minutes.
The cause is still under investigation, although officials say the estimated damage is around $25,000.
