CR: Environmentally Friendly Firing Range
A new state of the art firing range at College of the Redwoods is helping local law enforcement agencies train their officers. As News Channel 3’s Dana Griffin explains... It’s what CR is doing with the bullets that’s even more impressive.
Not everyone is equipped to be in law enforcement. You have to be tough, and be able withstand a little rain. Which makes today a good day to train Humboldt County Sheriff Deputies at the only law enforcement training range in the county.
This new range is changing the way bullets go in, and how they come out. The rubber is 3 1/2 feet deep and can stop anything from a .50 caliber at a distance of 25 yards.
The state of the art firing range can hold about 2 million bullets. The bullets are then cleaned and recycled.
