Highway Patrol in Garberville are investigating a Bay Area man who survived a crash in Northern Mendocino County Thursday. They believe the suspect and his 2 passengers were on their way to Shelter Cove for a home invasion or marijuana rip-off, after they found printed out directions from Vallejo to Shelter Cove, 3 loaded handguns, 2 bullet proof vests, several M-80 explosives, duct tape, and a ski mask in the car. The suspect and driver of the car is 20-year-old Dominic Quilici. Officers say Thursday morning Quilici ran off Highway 101 near Cummins road and flipped his SUV several times… the two other bay area men inside the car did not survive. Quilici was booked the day of the accident for vehicular manslaughter but highway patrol officers say he has now bailed out of the Mendocino county jail. Officers added that there was no specific address on the directions to Shelter Cove, and that the GPS inside the car was destroyed as a result of the crash. Investigation is ongoing.
