HUMBOLDT MUSIC PROJECT TO LAUNCH COMPILATION OF LOCAL ARTISTS

Local business owners are teaming up to create the Humboldt Music Project, a compilation CD of Humboldt county musicians being released with all proceeds benefiting scholarships at the Humboldt Music Academy, a program of Humboldt State University. It’s a limited release by almost a dozen local musicians. Humboldt Fire is sponsoring the project… along with A Fertile World, World Wide Wong, Salty’s Supply and The Works. They are also asking for additional music submissions by local artists for the album, which need to be entered by November 30. There are no genre limitations and all musicians are encouraged to submit their work. A representative for the project says she wants to help give back to the program she benefited from in her youth. The album is slated for release on December 15and will be available for purchase online and at local sponsor outlets.
