DEL NORTE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY JON ALEXANDER FACES POWER ABUSE ALLEGATIONS

The California State Bar Association is investigating new allegations against Del Norte County District Attorney Jon Alexander; that he abused his power in connection with a particular arrest.The new investigation comes after the Sacramento Bee published information from a letter written by Susan Kagan, the state bar’s assistant chief trial counsel.The Bee writes that the letter states Alexander is under examination over his role in the arrest of a man named Barry Brown, a private investigator in Del Norte County. Brown was arrested February 9th by the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office alleging he was connected to the abduction of his two grand daughters.The letter states Brown told the state bar that he was in contact with Alexander throughout the investigation into the alleged abduction, maintaining his innocence. While Alexander maintains he had not spoken to Brown about the matter. And this- while the state bar is currently awaiting the testimony of one final witness in their original case against Alexander on 7 separate legal counts
