HOSTESS: DING...DONG...DONE

Eureka, CA- An American food icon that many of us have grown up eating is headed out the door. The maker of twinkies, ding dongs and wonder bread, is going out of business after striking workers failed to return to work. Hostess has decided to file for bankruptcy.The company said it would shutdown hundreds of bakeries, distribution centers, and bakery outlet stores in the united states.Workers walked off the job last friday after turning down the latest contract offer that cut pay by 8% and benefits by 16%. A motion has been filed by Hostess to close and sell its assets. The hearing will begin Monday in White Plains New York.
