HEUER'S FLORIST CLOSING AFTER 42 YEARS IN EUREKA

After 42 years a well-known Eureka storefront is closing up for good. Ausbern Heuer's floral shop has done business at the corner of 5th and G streets since 1970. But on Black Friday signs went up announcing a retirement sale; they're selling everything down to the fixtures at half price. Heuer says its’ been a good run over the last few decades but he says he's shutting down for personal health reasons."We've dispersed a lot of emotions over the years, filled a lot of needs,” Heuer said. “We want to say thank you to Humboldt county.. You've been good to us." Heuer added that they'd like to have the store completely closed up by December 31st.
