MURDER, VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES ADDED FOR HIT/RUN SUSPECT

Police have arrested Judi Lynn Hawks for murder, vehicular manslaughter, and DUI with injuries after she hit a pedestrian on 4th Street in Eureka in late August. Eureka police say Hawks hit the victim then fled the scene… she later came back and identified herself and was arrested for hit and run causing injury. Police say Hawks ran from them when they went to arrest her with the warrant Wednesday afternoon- adding the murder and manslaughter charges to her August arrest charges.
