No Crab For Christmas

The California Department of Fish and Game is playing the role of Scrooge to crab lovers this holiday season and saying, Bah Humbug.  Department Director Chuck Bonham announced today that due to poor quality testing the start of Dungeness Crab season on the North Coast will be delayed until at least December 31 meaning locally caught crab, a holiday staple of North Coast Christmas meals,  will not be available this year.  Further testing is scheduled for on or about December 17 to determine if crab season will have to be delayed even later than the 31st.
