GRIGSBY, MALE INMATE CAUGHT SENDING SEXUALLY EXPLICIT NOTES VIA PRISON LIBRARY BOOKS
Northwest Killing Spree suspect Holly Grigsby is back in the news tonight after prison investigators uncover a jailhouse love affair with another high profile inmate. Grigsby and then boyfriend David Pedersen are charged with a series of four murders that started in Washington state and ended in Eureka and the killing of Reggie Clark. Now, jailers in Oregon- where Grigsby is being held for the crimes- have uncovered a series of letters that expose her as carrying on a relationship with inmate Andrew Barnett, who is accused of an anthrax hoax against Portland law enforcement. Jail staff in Columbia county found that the two were using books in the prison law library to send sexually explicit notes, allegedly calling it their “email system.” The law library has since been moved to a more secure location. Prison officials say Barnett had also found an air shaft in the library that connected to the women’s housing unit, that he allegedly used to shout messages to Grigsby. Concerning the Humboldt county homicide Grigsby is accused of, she’s pleaded not guilty, and trial is expected to start in the summer of 2013.
