HSU NAMED TOP VEGAN-FRIENDLY SCHOOL

Humboldt State University has been named a top vegan friendly school by peta-2… the youth animal rights program at PETA. HSU was one of 10 schools its size to make the group’s top 10 list this year. Schools were ranked on a number of factors including the quality and quantity of on-campus vegan options and receptiveness and creativity of dining staff. Humboldt State spokesperson Paul Mann says students can choose from a variety of vegetarian and vegan-friendly dining options at the “j”… The Depot… and College Creek Marketplace. He says they make a conscious effort to make fresh options available to students. Also making peta-2’s list were Oberlin college, Smith College, and Northwestern University.
