WINTER WEATHER DAMAGE
As rain and wind continue to affect the north coast, some are bracing for what’s to come. While others have already received their share of the damage. David Wallaker says, " And just about 10 o'clock or so I heard something go down and I came out, looked around and here it was, this tree laying across both of Mike's trucks."As the two neighbors check for damage to one of the vehicles; across town on La Point Drive, one man is helping his mother who’s been affected by a power outage. Humboldt Bay Fire responded last night to La Point Dr. because a tree fell and broke a gas and water meter. Assistant Fire Chief Bill Gillespie says they’re preparing for more weather related calls. So far, he says no one has been injured.
