STORES BUSY WITH RETURNS AND EXCHANGES DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS
Some gifts are broken others are duplicates. These are a couple reasons why people hit the stores and return gifts the day after Christmas.
"This week is typically one of our busier weeks for returns," said Target Guest Services Executive Michael Becerra.
Becerra said all targets open early on Dec. 26, and that Target is typically always busy with returns the day after most holidays.
Donna Walton will be looking for a new toy.
"I’m returning the 'Web Battles' because he already got one for Christmas and he doesn't need to have two of them," Walton said.
Jason Fulton’s daughter got a duplicate gift as well: two books.
“She wanted to get another book so she could continue her reading," Fulton said.
The Wylie family had an outing to exchange a tablecloth and dish set.
"In the dishes set, two were broken," Beth Wylie said.
The tablecloth didn’t fit. Beth’s mother, Eileen picked it out.
"But she did a good job," Wylie said.
Becerra said there’s a couple items that get returned or exchanged more often than others.
“A lot of clothing items, a lot of general toys, stuff like that.,” Becerra said. “There's no specific item that we see come through here a lot."
And that if you’re planning to return or exchange something the best way to ensure you’ll get your money back is having that receipt.
