HYDESVILLE WOMAN KILLED IN SR 36 CRASH

FATAL ACCIDENT: State Route 36, 6:49 p.m. Thursday

On the above date and time, Mr. Adkisson (Party #2) was driving his Dodge Pickup westbound on S/R 36 at an unknown speed. Ms. Boling (Party #1) was driving her Honda Accord eastbound on S/R 36 at an unknown speed. Mr. Adkisson allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway edge, swerved to the left to get back onto the roadway, crossed th...e center line where his vehicle collided head-on with Ms. Boling's vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway. Emergency personnel from Fortuna Fire Department and City Ambulance responded to the scene to provide emergency medical care.

Ms. Boling was transported to Redwood Memorial Hospital where she later died from her injuries. Mr. Adkisson was also transported to Redwood Memorial Hospital where he was treated and later released. It does not appear that impairment was a factor in the collision, however; CHP continues to investigate the collision.
