POLICE LOOKING FOR SUSPECT IN HIT/RUN INVOLVING 10-YEAR-OLD ON BIKE

Eureka, Ca- Eureka Police are looking for the suspect in a hit and run that hospitalized a 10-year-old boy, after he was hit riding his bike in a cross walk. It happened Thursday late afternoon at Henderson and Central Streets in Eureka. Police say the boy and his familywere crossing the street and traffic was stopped, when a Nissan Sentra passed traffic in the shoulder of the road and hit the boy. Police say the boy was thrown off his bike and onto the windshield of the car. The car was left abandoned about 3 blocks from the scene and was later recovered by police. The victim was left with a broken leg, bruising, and abrasions.
