CWS WORKER ON PAID LEAVE AFTER CHILD ENDANGERMENT ARREST

Eureka, Ca- The child welfare service worker arrested for child endangerment has been placed on paid administrative leave by Humboldt County. 34-year-old Faye Prudhomme was arrested in late December after a drug task force investigation into a marijuana grow at her home in Pine Hill. Agents found over 250 growing plants, 2 pounds of processed “bud”, and chemicals associated with the grow that agents say was easily accessible by the 5 children living in the home, two whom sheriff’s deputies say are 7-year-old autistic twins. The kids were taken into custody at the scene by CWS because of the electrical and fire hazards associated with the grow.  Prudhomme was released from jail custody the same day. Now the county has started their own investigation into the matter during which time Prudhomme will remain on paid leave.
