HUMBOLDT STATE -- After poking a little fun at Humboldt State University, campus officials hope Jimmy Kimmel will turn humor into a visit.  In November, Kimmel's show featured what campus officials called, "a funny but misinformed segment about [the college]."   Now, the late night talk show host is on the receiving end of an invite from H.S.U. campus leaders.   President Rollin Richmond and A.S. President Ellyn Henderson have sent Kimmel a formal letter, requesting he speak at this May's upcoming commencement -- or at least make a visit to campus in the fall.   They're hoping to show Kimmel that there's more to Humboldt State than he believes, and that he may have, "shortchanged the university," according to officials.   They say although he hasn't accepted the invite or responded, they're hopeful he'll make the trip.
