FIRE IN EUREKA; ABANDONED VEHICLE ENGULFED IN FLAMES

EUREKA -- An abandoned vehicle goes up in flames in Eureka on Tuesday evening.
Humboldt Bay Fire responded, and worked to put out the blaze that had the truck engulfed in flames.
Neighbors and fire officials tell News Channel 3 the car had been left there for about a month -- parked at the dead end just east of 11th and O streets.
No word yet on how the fire got started, or the point of origin.
It took a little over 10 minutes to get the fire under control.
Fire officials tell us they'll hand the case over to Eureka Police for further investigation into the cause.
