POLICE INVESTIGATING HIT/RUN: Victim, Witnsses Say Crash is Likely Intentional
Eureka police are investigating what they say is likely an intentional hit and run accident involving a pedestrian. The victim has been flown out of the area for treatment of her injuries. It happened just before noon Friday at the intersection of Pine and Buhne streets.
Eureka Police say the victim was standing on the northwest corner of the intersection when the suspect vehicle swerved and hit her. Police are not releasing information on the driver just yet but they say the victim suffered at least broken ribs at the scene. She was sedated and flown out of the area for additional medical care. Any witnesses to the accident are asked to call Eureka Police at 441-4109.
