A high risk missing person has the Humboldt Country Sheriff’s Office on alert. 61-year-old Myra Sheek went missing on Friday January 18th from the Aguilar Manor Assisted Living Facility on Eggert road in Eureka. Deputies say the owner told them Sheek usually went for a walk around 11 am, never more than a block away, but Friday she didn’t return. Sheriff’s deputies and “SCOP” searched the area for Sheek and several neighbors were contacted, now they’re looking for the public’s help in finding her.
The owner told deputies they’re concerned because Sheek has some medical issues.
She’s 61-years-old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, about 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a denim jacket, yellow sweatpants and glasses.
If you have any information on Myra Sheek’s whereabouts you’re asked to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 445-7251.
