It's a phone, it's a tablet, It's— well almost like an extra limb.

With all the added features smart devices offer, it may be hard for some people not to store their life in one place.

But others might not be aware of all the features offered. U.S Cellular Store Manager Fred Bach is here to help.

"Some of the most common things that people ask when they come in is how to set up there tablet, or how to set up their phone and how to handle the basics: like send and receiving calls, how to set up e-mail, downloading the great pieces of software we call apps," Bach said.

He adds that standard phone features can help remind us of things like...

"Anniversaries, dates, addresses, multiple e-mail addresses," Bach said.

But with apps, additional features are endless. There are apps for

"Productivity, keeping things like to do lists, making grocery lists or things you need to do," Bach said.

And with tax season just around the corner, an app might be a convenient way to help tackle the stress when it comes to filing your finances.

"Something that's useful and is going to save you a tremendous amount of time like TurboTax.”

An app that might be especially convenient for North Coast residents is a tide chart.

"The secret is to use it all, store it all, it will come in handy later," Bach said.

But don't forget the fun ones. This Valentine's Day wallpaper may not be the most useful, but it's one way someone can jazz up his or her device with a simple swipe.
