A break-in and burglary of U.S. Bank in Ferndale leads to the arrest of two Willits men.
Ferndale Police say they caught Sylvester Loren Vansickle and Larry Daniel Rodriguez after they broke into the bank on Ocean Drive. Officers say around 3:30 Sunday morning the two pried open the bank’s west side doors. Responding officers said they saw smoke inside the building; the suspects tried to use a torch to get into the ATM machine. Officers say one of the men tried to attack them and run away but they were able to subdue them. They were booked on burglary charges and each of their bail set at $100,000.
