BREAKING: VICTIM HOSPITALIZED FOR AXE WOUNDS TO EYE

Humboldt County Sherriff's Investigators are working at two scenes in Loleta after a man was allegedly stabbed in the eye with an axe. Law Enforcement say the victim, 23 year old Daniel Bird Jr. was taken to Redwood Memorial Hospital by ambulence from Bear River Casino for what deputies are calling "severe stab wounds" to his eye.  The stabbing incident happened at 111 Hayrake Lane in Loleta. News Channel 3 is working to gather details from both scenes, we will have a complete report on tonight's broadcasts. 
 
UPDATE 12:20 p.m.: Witness tells News Channel 3 there are multiple victims, incident may be over an issue with the social security check belonging to one of victims.
