FAIR BOARD AD-HOC TO MEET, CANDIDATE NAMED FOR INTERIM GENERAL MANAGER

The Humboldt County Fair Board ad-hoc committee met Wednesday night to discuss the hiring of an interim general manager. Loretta Nicklaus is a candidate for the position. A board member submitted Nicklaus’ name during a special session Monday night. Nicklaus had most recently served as an interim city manager in Fortuna, she has also served as city manager in Rio Dell. Board members say Nicklaus has agreed to serve if she has unanimous support. The six member ad-hoc committee was set to discuss the topic at the fairgrounds in Ferndale at 7 pm.
