2 CRESCENT CITY RESIDENTS KILLED IN OREGON CRASH

Two Crescent City residents are dead after a car crash along Highway 199. Oregon State Police say long time Crescent City business owner, 75-year old Dale Long was driving with former Crescent City Harbor Commissioner, 65-year old Sandra Crockett on 199 eight miles south of Cave Junction, Oregon on Wednesday. Police say Long failed to negotiate a curve, crossing into the northbound lane and crashing head-on into a tree.
Long was pronounced dead at the scene. Crockett was transported to a medical center in Medford where she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.
