RYAN FLOYD INVESTIGATION TURNS UP WEAPONS CACHE, STOLEN TRACTOR, DRUGS
Investigation into a Garberville property continues Friday as Sheriff’s Deputies seize 20 ballistic vests, thousands of rounds of ammunition, high capacity magazines, a brand new John Deere Tractor and an additional stolen trailer. The property is owned by 30-year-old Ryan Floyd. Deputies arrested Floyd on Thursday morning on 2 felony warrants. He had been the prime suspect in a pursuit with deputies on Dyersville Loop Road over the weekend. On Thursday the property search turned up 40 vehicles-1 stolen, twelve-thousand dollars in cash, and a semi automatic handgun. In addition to the ballistic vests, ammo, magazines, and trailer found on Friday deputies found tactical holsters and empty rifle cases, an additional 72 pounds of dried marijuana and 42 grams of hashish. The sheriff’s office is continuing their investigation into this case and the California Highway Patrol is assisting with processing the numerous vehicles on the property to determine whether or not they are stolen.
