HUMBOLDT -- He's been missing for over two weeks, but the human remains found Sunday at a Samoa beach have been identified as the missing Arcata man, 32-year old Jason Francis Lovell.

The Humboldt County Coroner's Office tells us the cause of death is consistent with a drowning.

Lovell went missing back on January 25th.

His body was discovered Sunday by ATV riders at the Samoa Dunes.

The coroner's office says there is no evidence of foul play and they are unsure of how he ended up in the water, saying his body had been there for several weeks.

Lovell was last known to be in the Samoa area in the early morning hours of January 26th.
