I'm here because the fights not over," Rocky Tinney said. These are the people of PFLAG of Humboldt— the parents and friends of lesbians and gays. And what do they want?"Equal rights are equal rights,” Tinney said. “It doesn't matter who you are. If you are an American, you have a right to be married to whoever you want to."She is one of the dozens of rally-goes in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse waving flags and holding signs today.“We just want the community to know that there are people in the community that love one another that cannot get married and do not have the rights that heterosexual couples have," said PFLAG President Linda Shapeero. Linda Shapeero organized the event. She said one of the rally’s demonstrations is to have couples request a marriage license.“And they will be turned down.”Lesly Allison and KC McClane are not a couple, but they requested a marriage license anyway."She just told us there was nothing she could give us,” McClane said. Which they said hurts.“It makes me feel sad,” Allison said.
