Sean Hawk has entered a not guilty plea for the crash that left an Orleans man dead.
He’s been charged with Vehicular Manslaughter Gross Negligence, with a special allegation that he fled the scene. He’d been on the run from law enforcement for about two weeks when highway patrol finally caught him in Siskiyou County on February 24th.
Highway patrol say Hawk is responsible for the crash that killed 25-year-old Virgil Martin as he was walking on highway 96 in Orleans in mid February.
Hawk’s bail has been set at $75,000, he will be back in court in March.
