SLOT CAR RACERS PREPARE FOR TOMORROW'S MAIN EVENT

It’s the Annual Fray Slot Car Race in Ferndale and racers from all over the country are here.
 
The event kicked off on Wednesday when racers had the opportunity to try out the slot cars they designed and put together.
 
Today was the time trials to determine how teams will be seeded for tomorrow’s competition. Cars were timed at how fast they could complete a course.
 
This year there will be 16 teams competing for first place. The main event is Saturday starting at 8 a.m. at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds.
