Eureka, Ca- At the courthouse tomorrow, county staff will be presenting the board with an outline of a new ordinance. They say it will regulate the outdoor cultivation of medical marijuana with purpose of minimizing the negative environmental impacts, like the dumping of toxins into river and streams.
County staff has been developing the ordinance for over a year, and say they are still in the early stages.
No action will be taken tomorrow, but staff is asking the board to get community input.
Officials drafting the ordinance say it is strictly about medical marijuana.
