FAIR BOARD PICKS 2 CANDIDATES TO FILL INTERIM GENERAL MANAGER POSITION

 The Humboldt County Fair Board is working with two potential candidates to fill their general manager position on an interim basis.
The candidates are Don Smullin of Eureka and Richard Conway of Ferndale. The two were picked by the fair board’s ad-hoc committee. They’ve been in meetings to discuss how to move forward with the position after the board decided not to renew Stuart Titus’ contract as general manager of the fair, after 22 years of service and controversy from the community. Both candidates say they have not been given a date when the board will decide who will fill the vacancy… if either. The board is set to meet again in regular session at the end of the month.
