BOARD APPROVES TENTATIVE WAGES AGREEMENT WITH IHSS WORKERS

HUMBOLDT -- They've been fighting for fair wages for years.
 
On Tuesday, a tentative agreement was reached between the In-Home Support Services labor organization and the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors. The board approved the terms by a unanimous vote.
 
It's a decision stemming from a mediated settlement back on March 6th.
  
The conditions are being sent to the California United Homecare Workers (CUHW) labor organization to be ratified. They will then need to be sent to the state for final approval. Stipulations of the agreement have not yet been disclosed, pending the approval of the CUHW.
