Fourth street in Eureka was shut down during rush hour because of an early morning fire.
The Quality Inn caught fire around 7:30 am Friday morning.  The Eureka Fire department says the blaze took out 5 rooms, the attic and the breezeway.
Motel staff evacuated all guests and have been quoted as "heros."  Only one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
Two guests staying in the effected rooms tell news channel 3 their smoke alarms did not go off.  The fire department is investigating if those accusations are true as well as the cause of the fire.
The fire department adds there were no sprinklers installed but with the new building code going into effect in January that will change.
