Oxycontin Robber arrested

Police say the so-called 'Oxycontin Bandit' is in jail. Authorities say shortly after 9am Friday morning, 20-year-old Kyle Wayne Porter of Eureka was arrested at a home in the 2800 block of "R" Street without incident. Police say they're confident Porter is responsible for three of the four robberies to happen in Eureka this year. They say evidence indicates Porter is responsible for the first Cloney's robbery, the Lima's robbery and last week's Redwood Pharmacy robbery. Porter was booked into the Humboldt County Jail on three robbery charges. His bail is set at $50,000. Meanwhile, the Eureka Police Department says the second Cloney's Pharmacy robbery which happened last April is still under investigation.  Anyone with information on the second Cloney's robbery is urged to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department at 441-4305.
