18-year-old Hoopa teen died in fatal 101 crash

ARCATA- The name of the victim in Monday's fatal crash in Arcata has been released. 18-year-old Millie Blake of Hoopa was the driver and died in the accident.

According to the Humboldt County Coroner's Office she died from blunt force trauma and was ejected from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seatbelt said the California Highway Patrol.

The three male passengers received major injuries in the crash. There was only one vehicle involved and the cause of the crash is being investigated. According to CHP the Toyota 4-Runner was traveling southbound on 101 near the St. Louis over crossing and, for reasons still under investigation, Blake lost control, crashed and came to rest in the northbound lane of 101.
