FORTUNA - Three adults were arrested after officers conducted an alcohol sting operation in Fortuna.
Fortuna Police, working with grant funding from the California Alcohol Beverage Control, conducted a “shoulder tap sting operation” to reduce the availability of alcohol to minors. A youth, working with law enforcement indicates he or she is underage and cannot purchase the alcohol. During the operation, twenty eight patrons were asked to purchase liquor for the minor. Three of them did and were arrested by officers. The penalty for furnishing alcohol to someone underage is a minimum $1,000 fine and twenty four hours of community service.
