CARLOTTA - Over 600 PG&E customers lost power earlier this evening after lines came down in Carlotta.
Officials say electricity went out just before 6:30. Alleged earlier high winds were responsible for bringing the wires down. 639 residents in Fortuna, Hydesville and Carlotta were affected initially. . PG&E crews were able to get some areas restored by around 8:45 pm. Currently there are 374 customers still without power. Repair crews are on the scene and authorities could give no estimated time when power would be restored.
