A nine-year old was in her McKinleyville home alone when an alleged burglar walked through the front door. According to the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office the girl was at her home when her mother and boyfriend went for a job and left the front door unlocked.
A man allegedly walked through the door and saw the girl, grabbed her mothers purse and left. The girl reportedly called her mother's cell phone and the mother called the police.
Deputies checked the area but could not find the suspect. The sheriff's office is asking the public for help. The suspect is described as a white, adult male, 5"7', wearing a dark beanie cap, an oversized brown jacket with hood, camouflage pants, army type boots and backpack.
