The man arrested for allegedly robbing an Arcata bank is the suspect in another bank robbery in Santa Rosa. Stephen Long, from Maine, was arrested by Arcata Police at a motel in town two and a half hours after allegedly robbing Bank of America.

Long allegedly walked into Bank of America at 4:47 p.m. approached a bank teller and presented a note demanding money. Long left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Arcata Police were able to obtain security footage from the bank and posted a photo of the suspect on their Facebook page. Arcata Police Det. Sgt. Todd Dokweiler said an anonymous tip came into the department that led police to the hotel on the 1700 block of G Street.

Long is charged with robbery and is booked at the Humboldt County Jail.
