Alleged weapons used in home invasion robbery discovered near Highway 299
BLUE LAKE- Humboldt County Sheriff deputies said they found what they believe to be the weapons used in Thursday's home invasion robbery. The three suspects William Parks, Leonard McCovey Junior, and Tiereney Perry were arrested in the parking lot of a casino in Blue Lake after deputies said they had threatened a man at gunpoint and took his marijuana.
Deputies also said the three suspects had weapons at the time of the alleged home invasion, but when they caught up with them, they just had the marijuana. On Saturday deputies believe they found the alleged weapons used, a semi-automatic handgun, a box of shotgun shells, and a sawed off shotgun were found in an area on Bair Road about one mile off of Highway 299. The items have since been seized as evidence and all three suspects were arrested and booked in the Humboldt County Jail.
Will the judge's decision on California's 10-day waiting period make a difference in gun related violence?
