Animal Clinic Looks To Help Rescue Organizations This Holiday Season
For over twenty years, Sunny Brea Animal Clinic has been helping to donate items to local animal rescue groups during the Holiday season. The clinic calls it the 'Giving Tree' and is a list of items people can donate to local non-profit organizations.
Five non-profits are part of this years fundraiser: Companion Animal Foundation, Humboldt Spray and Neuter, Humboldt County Animal Control, Sequoia Humane Society and Humboldt Wildlife Care Center.
"We're a non profit, we completely exist off donations. We need everything from cat food to cat litter," said Wendy Kupilik from the Humboldt Spray Neuter Network.
Carol Aubin, a staff member at Sunny Brea Animal Center, said clients wait every year to donate to the Giving Tree. "The giving tree is a chance for us to help organizations that have been so wonderful throughout the year," said Aubin.
Sequoia Human Society's Jennifer Rishel said her organization relies on donations like this every year to free up funds for other supplies. "Those items are just a wonderful gift, just anytime of year," Rishel.
