Annual Humboldt Artisans Craft & Music Festival opens at Redwood Acres
EUREKA - It’s a holiday tradition in Humboldt. The Artisan Craft and Music Festival has taken over Redwood Acres again for its annual event. The 34 annual festival features shopping, food, and live music. This year, it is showcasing over 130 booths of local artisans. There are also five stages throughout the fairgrounds that will be playing music every hour.
Organizers expect to see between 8,000 to 12,000 attendees throughout the weekend. Admission is $3 or free if you bring a toy for the Humboldt Bay Firefighter’s Toy Drive.
It is also free after 5 p.m. or for kids and seniors. The event runs through Sunday, December 7.
“It fosters being craftsman and making things themselves and trying to have small businesses and entrepreneurial and all that kind of thing. It's just a really fun fair. Got a lot of really great entertainment and the crafts here are really really nice. It's really varied and it's all handmade and it beats going to the mall, for sure,” Susan Alban, owner of Swadeshi Leather Works, said.
