Anti-DUI crackdown results in nearly double of the arrests
NORTH COAST- The Winter Holiday anti-DUI crackdown resulted in almost double the amount of arrests made in comparison to last year. Officers from seven agencies in Humboldt County arrested 52 people for driving under the influence from Dec. 13 to Christmas day, that is compared to 34 DUI arrests made in the same time period last year. The campaign is part of a larger region-wide crackdown focused on stopping and arresting individuals who are impaired or driving without a license.
